Student Work Space

Computer Science students have access to some of the best resources on campus at Harbor Walk East. We recognize that access to the necessary resources is critical to the success of our students.

Students have 24/7 access to the CS Department student work space.  The third floor is open from 7am - 9pm Monday to Friday. Declared CS students have Cougar card swipe access for times outside normal open hoursIf you do not have access, please fill out the Declared CS Student Form and you will be notified of access within 72 hours. Those who are not majors but are currently enrolled in a CS department course are welcome to use the work space when the building is open.  The first floor will always be locked and only accessible by card swipe.

We provide one study lounge to students- room 335. The work space provides students with state-of-the-art computers, on a Gigabit-switched network, in a Windows environment.  Additionally, they have full campus wireless access from their private laptops and can download the latest development tools and operating systems from Microsoft, thanks to the department's subscription to the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance. The Study Lounge also gives students a quiet space.

Our Student Innovation Center on the second floor is a place to collaborate, relax and play. Try out our VR, 3-D printer or play video games with fellow students! Lockers, mini-fridge and microwave are all available for use. The Flex Room (Rm 105F) is available for students to reserve (see below) for work/study when not in use.
